Algemene voorwaarden

These terms govern your use of themuseumofpets.com and any order you place with us. By placing an order you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not order.

Who we are. The Museum of Pets is an online store selling custom pet artwork and pet themed products. You can reach us at any time at info@themuseumofpets.com.

What we make. Every item is personalised from a photo you send us. Because of that, each order is produced individually and is not held in stock.

Your photo, and what you allow us to do with it. When you send us a photo you confirm that it is yours to send, that you own it or have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. You keep ownership of your photo. You give us a limited licence to use it for the single purpose of creating, previewing and producing your artwork and your order. We will not sell your photo, and we will not use it in advertising unless you tell us in writing that we may.

What you may not send. Photos of other people's pets that you have no right to use, copyrighted artwork, logos, trademarks, team crests, or the likeness of a public figure. We may refuse or cancel any order that would require us to reproduce material we are not licensed to reproduce, and we will refund it in full.

Our artwork. The finished artwork we produce for you is licensed to you for personal use. Reselling our artwork, or using it commercially, needs our written permission first.

Previews and approval. Where a preview is offered, no payment is due until you have seen it. Once you approve a preview, production starts and the item can no longer be changed.

Prices and payment. Prices are shown in US dollars and include shipping within the United States. Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's payment providers. We never see or store your card details.

Cancellations, returns and refunds. See our refund policy for the full details. In short: before you approve your artwork you can cancel for a full refund, and if an item arrives damaged or wrong we remake it at our cost.

Delivery times. See our shipping policy. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not liable for carrier delays outside our control.

Accuracy. We try to describe products and colours accurately, but screens differ and printed colour will not always match a screen exactly. Small variations are normal and are not a defect.

Liability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Changes. We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time you order is the version that applies to your order.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, where our business is established. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of your own country or state.
